On April 29, 2005, the Commission submitted to Congress
amendments to the federal sentencing guidelines. (See 70 FR 24852, May
11, 2005). The Commission has made technical and conforming amendments
to commentary provisions related to those amendments. The Commission
hereby gives notice of these commentary amendments.

In June 2005, the Commission published a notice of possible
policy priorities for the amendment cycle ending May 1, 2006. See 70 FR

updated information regarding vehicle manufacturers' future product
plans to assist the agency in analyzing the proposed light truck
corporate average fuel economy (CAFE) standards for MY 20082011, which

This notice proposes to reform the structure of the corporate
average fuel economy (CAFE) program for light trucks and proposes to
establish higher CAFE standards for model year (MY) 20082011 light
trucks. Reforming the CAFE program would enable it to achieve larger
fuel savings while enhancing safety and preventing adverse economic
consequences.
