DOCUMENT SUMMARY: The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is announcing an opportunity for public comment on the proposed collection of certain information by the agency. Under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA), 44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq., Federal agencies are required to publish notice in the Federal Register concerning each proposed collection of information, including each proposed extension of an existing collection of information, and to allow 60 days for public comment in response to the notice. This notice solicits comments on rules relating to Security Futures Products.

With respect to the following collection of information, the CFTC invites comments on:
The Commission's Part 41 rules establish the regulatory framework governing the offer and sale of security futures. Section 5f of the Commodity Exchange Act mandates that the Commission set forth procedures that permits certain entitiesspecifically, national securities exchanges, national securities associations, and alternative trading systemsthat would otherwise be regulated by the SEC, to become designated contract markets for the limited purpose of trading security futures products.

There are no capital costs or operating and maintenance costs associated with this collection.
This estimate is based on the number of requests for such
designations submitted in the last three years. Although the burden
varies with the type, size, and complexity of the request submitted,
such request might involve analytical work and analysis, as well as the work of drafting the request itself.
