SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

The invention relates to a single, surgical instrument suitable for use in the placement of a thoracostomy tube (chest tube) into a patient for evacuation of intrapleural air or fluids. The mechanical functions of three (3) separate, surgical instruments have been combined into a single, surgical instrument. This single, surgical instrument is the subject of the present invention.
