DOCUMENT SUMMARY:

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 10413, May 22, 1995), this notice announces that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request for review of a revised information collection. This information collection, ``Initial Certification of FullTime School Attendance'' (OMB Control No. 32060099; Form RI 25 41), is used to determine whether a child is unmarried and a fulltime student in a recognized school. OPM must determine this in order to pay survivor annuity benefits to children who are age 18 or older.

We estimate 1,200 certifications will be processed annually. It takes approximately 90 minutes to complete the form. The estimated annual burden is 1,800 hours.
