Revisions to Broadcast Auxiliary Service Rules

In this document the Commission conducts an extensive review of the Broadcast Auxiliary Services (BAS) rules and proposes changes to create a more efficient BAS that can readily adapt to regulatory and technological changes. In addition, the Commission examines the relationship between BAS, the Cable Television Relay Service (CARS), and the Fixed Microwave Service. The Commission also examines the use of wireless assist video devices (WAVDs) on unused television channels.
