Pursuant to 28 CFR 507 notice is hereby given that on January 12, 2006, a proposed Consent Decree in the case United States v. Adeline R. Bennett, MD Living Trust and Pitts Grandchildren's Trust, Civil Action No. LACV 060238 DDP (AJWx) was lodged with the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

In this action, under Sections 106 and 107 of CERCLA, 42 U.S.C. 9606 and 9607, the United States sought injunctive relief and recovery of response costs to remedy conditions in connection with the release or threatened release of hazardous substances into the environment at the Waste Disposal, Inc. Superfund Site in Santa Fe Springs, California (hereinafter referred to as the ``Site'' or ``WDI Site.'').

In accordance with Departmental policy in 28 CFR 50.7, notice is hereby given that on January 13, 2006, a proposed Consent Decree in United States v. Quaker City, Inc., Consolidated Civil Action Nos. 99 3715, 028964, 033231, 055938, was lodged with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

In this action, the United States sought recovery of environmental response costs incurred by the United States in connection with the Malvern TCE Superfund Site, located in Chester County, PA. The Consent Decree requires the settling Defendant to pay the United States the sum of $600,000.

The Department of Justice will receive for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of this publication comments relating to the Consent Decree. Notice is hereby given on December 9, 2005, a proposed consent decree in United States v. V.T. Fallon dba VTF Properties, Civil Action No. 052830 RJL/AKB, was lodged with the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.

The consent decree settles claims against the owner and management company of approximately eleven

residential properties containing approximately 124 units located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The claims were brought on behalf of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (``HUD'') and the Environmental Protection Agency (``EPA'') under the Residential Lead Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act, 42 U.S.C. 4851 et seq. (``Lead Hazard Reduction Act''). The United States alleged in the complaint that the defendant failed to make one or more of the disclosures or to complete one or more of the disclosure activities required by the Lead Hazard Reduction Act.
