  <description><![CDATA[ On December 9, 2005, a 60-day notice inviting comment from the 
public was inadvertently published for the ``2004/06 Beginning 
Postsecondary Students Longitudinal Study (BPS:04/06)'' in the Federal 
Register (70 FR 236) dated December 9, 2005. This notice amends the 
public comment period for this program to 30 days. The Leader, 
Information Management Case Services Team, Regulatory Information 
Management Services, Office of the Chief Information Officer, hereby 
issues a correction notice as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act 
of 1995.

  <title><![CDATA[
Office of English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement, and  Academic Achievement for Limited English Proficient]]></title>

  <description><![CDATA[ On December 7, 2005, we published in the Federal Register (70 
FR 72791) a notice inviting applications for new awards for FY 2006 for 
the Native American and Alaska Native Children in School Program under 
section 3112 of Title III of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act 
of 1965 (ESEA), as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 
(Pub. L. 107110)(NCLB). The notice incorrectly specified that  applications would be available on December 5, 2005.</p><p>    On page 72791, third column, and page 72792, third column, the date 
listed under Applications Available is corrected to read ``December 7, 
2005''.

Office of Postsecondary Education; Strengthening Institutions  (SIP), American Indian Tribally Controlled Colleges and]]></title>

</p><p>    Purpose of Programs: Under the SIP, TCCU, and ANNH Programs, (Title 
III, Part A programs) authorized under Part A of Title III of the 
Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA), institutions of higher 
education (IHEs or institutions) are eligible to apply for grants if 
they meet specific statutory and regulatory eligibility requirements. 
Similarly, institutions of higher education are eligible to apply for 
grants under the HSI program, authorized under Title V of the HEA, if 
they meet specific statutory and regulatory requirements. In addition, 
an institution that is designated as an eligible institution under 
those programs may also receive a waiver of certain nonFederal share 
requirements under the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity 
Grant (FSEOG), the Federal Work Study (FWS), the Student Support 
Services (SSS) and the Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign 
Language (UISFL) Programs. The FSEOG, FWS, and SSS Programs are

profit organizations; institutions of higher education; and Indian  tribes and tribal organizations.</p><p>    Estimated Available Funds: The Administration has requested 
$950,000 for the Low Vision and Blindness RERC competition for FY 2006. 
The actual level of funding, if any, depends on final congressional 
action. However, we are inviting applications to allow enough time to 
complete the grant process if Congress appropriates funds for this  program.</p><p>    Maximum Award: We will reject any application that proposes a 
budget exceeding $950,000 for a single budget period of 12 months. The

Privacy Act of 1974; System of Records ]]></title>

  <description><![CDATA[ In accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended 
(Privacy Act), 5 United States Code (U.S.C.) 552a, the Department of 
Education (Department) publishes this notice of a new system of records 
entitled ``Follow Up Evaluation of the Gear Up Program (181702).'' 
This system will contain information about middle school students who 
participated in the GEAR UP program in 200001 and a matched comparison 
of middle school students who did not participate in the program. The 
students' expected high school completion year is 2006 and the follow
up information will be collected in spring of 2006. This system 
consists of the name, address, and social security number of the study 
participants as well as demographic information such race/ethnicity and 
age; educational background, transcript information, service 
participation information, high school graduation, and preliminary 
postsecondary enrollment information; and financial aid application and
