On August 28, 2006, the North American Electric Reliability Council, on behalf of its whollyowned subsidiary, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (collectively NERC), filed eight proposed Reliability Standards concerning Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) for Commission approval, pursuant to its role as the Electric Reliability Organization (ERO) under section 215 of the Federal Power Act (FPA).
