The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to expand the conditions for the safe use of cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) as an antimicrobial agent in a pre chiller or postchiller solution for application to raw poultry carcasses. This action is in response to a petition filed by Safe Foods Corp. (Safe Foods).
