  <title><![CDATA[  Proposed Information Collection Request Submitted for Public  Comment and Recommendations; Mine Accident, Injury, and]]></title>

  <description><![CDATA[ The Department of Labor, as part of its continuing effort to 
reduce paperwork and respondent burden conducts a preclearance 
consultation program to provide the general public and Federal agencies 
with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing 
collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction 
Act of 1995 (PRA95) [44 U.S.C. 3506 (c)(2)(A)]. This program helps to 
ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, 
reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, 
collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of 
collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed.

  <title><![CDATA[  American Woodmark, Hardy County Plant, Moorefield, Notice of  Affirmative Determination Regarding Application for]]></title>

</p><p>    By application dated November 8, 2007, Carpenters Industrial 
Council, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America 
requested administrative reconsideration of the Department of Labor's 
Notice of Negative Determination Regarding Eligibility to Apply for 
Worker Adjustment Assistance, applicable to workers and former workers 
of the subject firm. The denial notice was signed on October 17, 2007 
and published in the Federal Register on October 31, 2007 (72 FR  61685).</p><p>    The initial investigation resulted in a negative determination 
based on the finding that imports of kitchen cabinet parts did not 
contribute importantly to worker separations at the subject firm and no  shift of production to a foreign source occurred.</p><p>    In the request for reconsideration, the petitioner provided 
additional information concerning the interpretation of facts of the  investigation.</p><p>    The Department has carefully reviewed the request for

  <title><![CDATA[  Consistent Textile Industries Dallas, North Carolina; Notice of  Affirmative Determination Regarding Application for]]></title>

</p><p>    On November 27, 2007, the Department of Labor (Department) received 
a request for administrative reconsideration of the Department's Notice 
of Negative Determination Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker 
Adjustment Assistance, applicable to workers and former workers of the 
subject firm. The negative determination was issued on November 13, 
2007. The Department's Notice of determination will soon be published  in the Federal Register.</p><p>    The negative determination was based on the Department's findings 
that, during the relevant period, the subject firm did not separate or 
threaten to separate a significant number or proportion of workers as 
required by Section 222 of the Trade Act of 1974. The petition stated 
that two workers were separated and the company official stated in the 
initial investigation that the company consisted of fewer than 50  workers.</p><p>    In the request for reconsideration, a worker alleged that three 
workers were separated from the subject firm during the relevant

  <title><![CDATA[  Notice of Determinations Regarding Eligibility To Apply for  Worker Adjustment Assistance and Alternative Trade]]></title>

</p><p>    In accordance with Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended 
(19 U.S.C. 2273) the Department of Labor herein presents summaries of 
determinations regarding eligibility to apply for trade adjustment 
assistance for workers (TAW) number and alternative trade adjustment 
assistance (ATAA) by (TAW) number issued during the period of November  26 through November 30, 2007.</p><p>    In order for an affirmative determination to be made for workers of 
a primary firm and a certification issued regarding eligibility to 
apply for worker adjustment assistance, each of the group eligibility  requirements of Section 222(a) of the Act must be met.</p><p>    I. Section (a)(2)(A) all of the following must be satisfied:
</p><p>    A. A significant number or proportion of the workers in such 
workers' firm, or an appropriate subdivision of the firm, have become 
totally or partially separated, or are threatened to become totally or  partially separated;</p><p>    B. The sales or production, or both, of such firm or subdivision

  <title><![CDATA[  Non-Metallic Components, Inc., Rib Lake, Notice of Revised  Determination on Reconsideration]]></title>

</p><p>    On November 8, 2007, the Department issued an Affirmative 
Determination Regarding Application on Reconsideration applicable to 
workers and former workers of the subject firm. The notice was 
published in the Federal Register on November 16, 2007 (72 FR 64685).
</p><p>    The previous investigation initiated on July 24, 2007, resulted in 
a negative determination issued on September 19, 2007, was based on the 
finding that imports of custom injection molded plastic parts did not 
contribute importantly to worker separations at the subject firm and no 
shift in production to countries that are Party to a Free Trade 
Agreements with the United States or beneficiary countries occurred. 
The denial notice was published in the Federal Register on October 3,  2007 (72 FR 56385).</p><p>    In the request for reconsideration, the petitioner provided 
additional information regarding the subject firm's declining  customers.</p><p>    Based on the new information, the Department conducted a survey of

  <title><![CDATA[  Investigations Regarding Certifications of Eligibility To Apply  for Worker Adjustment Assistance and Alternative]]></title>

</p><p>    Petitions have been filed with the Secretary of Labor under Section 
221(a) of the Trade Act of 1974 (``the Act'') and are identified in the 
Appendix to this notice. Upon receipt of these petitions, the Director 
of the Division of Trade Adjustment Assistance, Employment and Training 
Administration, has instituted investigations pursuant to Section  221(a) of the Act.</p><p>    The purpose of each of the investigations is to determine whether 
the workers are eligible to apply for adjustment assistance under Title 
II, Chapter 2, of the Act. The investigations will further relate, as 
appropriate, to the determination of the date on which total or partial 
separations began or threatened to begin and the subdivision of the  firm involved.</p><p>    The petitioners or any other persons showing a substantial interest 
in the subject matter of the investigations may request a public 
hearing, provided such request is filed in writing with the Director,
