  <description><![CDATA[ The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is confirming the 
effective date of June 9, 2003, for the direct final rule that was 
published in the Federal Register on March 25, 2003 (68 FR 14307). This 
direct final rule amended the NRC's regulations on written event 
reports submitted to the NRC that contain personal information.

Agency Information Collection Activities: Submission for the  Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Review; Comment]]></title>

  <description><![CDATA[ The NRC has recently submitted to OMB for review the following 
proposal for the collection of information under the provisions of the 
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35). The NRC hereby 
informs potential respondents that an agency may not conduct or 
sponsor, and that a person is not required to respond to, a collection 
of information unless it displays a current valid OMB control number.
</p><p>    1. Type of submission, new, revision, or extension: Revision.
</p><p>    2. The title of the information collection: 10 CFR part 60
``Disposal of HighLevel Radioactive Wastes in Geologic Repositories''.
</p><p>    3. The form number if applicable: Not applicable.
</p><p>    4. How often the collection is required: The information need only  be submitted one time.</p><p>    5. Who will be required or asked to report: State or Indian Tribes, 
or their representatives, requesting consultation with the NRC staff 
regarding review of a potential highlevel radioactive waste geologic 
repository site, or wishing to participate in <script type="text/javascript">

Agency Information Collection Activities: Proposed Collection;  Comment Request]]></title>

  <description><![CDATA[ The NRC is preparing a submittal to OMB for review of 
continued approval of information collections under the provisions of 
the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35).
</p><p>    Information pertaining to the requirement to be submitted:
</p><p>    1. The title of the information collection: NRC Form 398,  ``Personal Qualification StatementLicensee''.<br/> </p><p>    2. Current OMB approval number: 31500090.</p><p>    3. How often the collection is required: On occasion and every six  years (at renewal).</p><p>    4. Who is required or asked to report: Individuals requiring a  license to operate the controls at a nuclear reactor.<br/> </p><p>    5. The number of annual respondents: 1,155.</p><p>    6. The number of hours needed annually to complete the requirement 
or request: 1,465 or approximately 1.3 hours per response (1,465 hours 
/ 1,155 applications (new, reapplications, renewals and waivers =  1,155) = 1.3 hours per response).</p><p>    7. Abstract: NRC Form 398 requests detailed information that should

  <title><![CDATA[
Notice of Finding of No Significant Impact and Availability of  Environmental Assessment for License Amendment of]]></title>

  <description><![CDATA[ I. Introduction</p><p>    The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering issuing 
license amendments to Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. for Materials 
License Nos. 290005506, 290005515, and SNM107, to authorize 
release of its facilities in Westwood and Plainfield, New Jersey, for 
unrestricted use and has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) in 
support of this action in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 
part 51. Based on the EA, the NRC has concluded that a Finding of No  Significant Impact (FONSI) is appropriate.</p>
<h3>II. EA Summary</h3>
<p>    The purpose of the proposed action is to allow for the release of 
the licensee's Westwood and Plainfield, New Jersey, facilities for 
unrestricted use. Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. has been authorized 
by NRC since 1964 to use radioactive materials for analytical services, 
research and development, precious metals recovery, and other similar 
purposes at these sites. On February 7, 2003, Teledyne Brown
