This action amends the Gulf of Alaska Low and Control 1487L Offshore airspace areas in Alaska. Specifically, this action modifies the Gulf of Alaska Low and Control 1487L airspace areas in the vicinity of the Yakutat Airport, Yakutat, AK, by lowering the affected controlled airspace floor to 700 feet mean sea level (MSL) for the Gulf of Alaska
2 PROPOSED RULES: Class E airspace,
This action proposes to revise Class E airspace at Vandenberg AFB, CA. During a review of this airspace, it was determined that additional controlled airspace was needed for Category E aircraft conducting circling maneuvers in conjunction with published Standard Instrument Procedures. This airspace change will place aircraft in controlled airspace
3 RULES: Low altitude reporting points,
This action revokes the Bishop Nondirectional Radio Beacon (NDB) as an Alaskan low altitude reporting point. The FAA has determined that this reporting point should be removed from the National Airspace System (NAS), since the Bishop NDB was de commissioned and is no longer in service.
4 PROPOSED RULES: Class E airspace,
This action proposes to establish Class E airspace at Willow, AK. Two Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPs) along with one Standard Instrument Departure (SID) and a published departure procedure (DP) are being developed for the Willow Airport. This action establishes four high altitude reporting points AYZOL, BORAN, EMSOW, and TIBOY in Alaska. The designation of these high altitude reporting points is needed to facilitate the separation of air traffic in Alaska.

This notice amends Part 71 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (14 CFR part 71) by establishing a Class D airspace area extending upward from the surface to and including 3,600 feet above sea level within a 3.7mile radius of Fort Riley, Marshall Army Airfield, KS. The establishment of an air traffic control tower has made this action necessary.
